Indian Trail Athletic Association Challenge Soccer

To help manage the rapid growth and competitiveness of the ITAA soccer program, we are excited to announce a new partnership with WCWAA. This partnership will allow ITAA to form Challenge teams that will play in the Charlotte Area Youth Soccer League (CAYSL). These teams are designed to provide youth players a chance to further develop their soccer skills with through more targeted coaching and training as well as playing in a more competitive level.

Coaches
All coaches will be certified and will teach appropriate skills to their age groups. Practices will be structured in such a way to maximize the training and skills of each player.

Player Commitment

A high level of commitment from both the player and the parent are required. Practices and training will be a minimum of two days per week. Players are expected to attend all practices, games, and tournaments as a lack of commitment not only hinders their personal success as well as the team’s success, but could also hurt their playing time. Playing time is based on the player’s commitment, attitude and ability.

Tournaments

Each team should attend a minimum of 4 tournaments per year (2 in the fall, 2 in the spring). Additional tournaments are optional and will be selected by the head coach.

Costs

Annual Fees: To be determined. Final cost will be available the week of May 19th.

Included in the Fees:

•  Home and Away jersey, 1 pair of shorts and 2 pairs of socks

•   Team Trainer that will attend a practice once a week for all weeks of each season

•   Team Equipment

•   ITAA fees

•   Field fees

•   Referee fees

•   Registration fees to NCYSA and CAYSL

•   Coaches training and certification
   

NOT Included in the Fees:

•   Tournament Entry fees – these fees average $350 - $450 per tournament. Each player will be responsible for paying their share of this fee to the Team Manager at the time the tournament registration fee is due.

• Travel costs to attend tournaments

•   Personal equipment or apparel such as warm ups, bags, T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.
  
  Tryouts
  Tryouts will be held at Edna Love Park on the following dates and times. Each player will be required to bring a copy of their Birth Certificate and proof of health insurance.
